Both pieces were created with eco-friendly clay, recycled fabrics, sari ribbon seashells, driftwood found at local North Shore MA beaches - Winter Island Salem MA & Plum Island IpswichMA. 

Wire-wrapped semiprecious stones, freshwater pearls, hand-painted cheesecloth, sticks, branches, moss and glass beads.

The Friendship of Salem Returns!

Salem's tall ship, The Friendship has been in Gloucester MA for three years being repaired. So she was not at her home, Derby Wharf, Salem MA when we moved back in the fall. 

Today she returned via tugboat as she has no masks or sails yet, in the pouring rain. Several of us greeted her waving white hankies and of course screaming WhooohooooOOooo! So happy to have her back. It brought tears to my eyes. Such a Salem treasure.

The crew had a hard time getting her docked. She hit one of the poles on the pier and i think that is when they decided not to try to turn her around to face the other direction. It was pouring rain and hard to see.

Sea Therapy

Sandy Point Beach Ipswich MA

I love our visits to Plum Island, Joppa Flats and Sandy Point Beach in Ipswich. Sunday we took a drive over and saw so many gorgeous birds, White Egrets, a few juvenile Bald Eagle pups, a flock of Turkeys, Hawks, a Woodpecker and of course Seagulls. Lots of moon snail sea shells too! 

It is about a 45 minute drive to Plum Island from Salem MA. Gorgeous scenery on the way so it is worth it. And we found the most adorable farm stand, Northern Lights Farm Stand which had organic fresh veggies at reasonable prices, and bitter green apple licorice. Woohoo!

When So Called Witches Steal....

A few years ago i created a line of Healing Pet Amulets with semiprecious stones for pets who are rescues, stressed and in pain. This idea came to me while using crystals in my acupuncture practice for humans. I wanted to find a way to use crystals and gemstones for my dog patients. And viola... one morning the idea was born.

It took a lot of work, money and effort to create this line. I wanted it to look professional. Each amulet is handcrafted by myself. All gemstones are genuine and are saged then charged with Reiki.

One of the shops that was carrying this line in Salem, just announced that they are now selling their version of these amulets. This is a copyright violation, not to mention down right tacky and sleazy! Sad that a local so called witch would steal this idea to make a few bucks. But that is how it is and although the owner claims to be a wonder witch, she clearly does not follow the threefold law or basic karma courtesy!

We are now in the process of deciding what action to take. Meanwhile, i think i will let Karma do it's job! Our pet amulets will continue to sell and will not be deterred by a thief! 

I want to thank all those shop owners and customers who have bought these Healing Pet Amulets and making this line a success.

Winter Island on the last day of winter!

So good to see the sun again after a week of brutal cold weather and wild winds. The snow has melted and tomorrow is the official first day of spring. 

We took our dog over to Winter Island, Waikiki Beach for some much needed Vitamin Sea and D. Gorgeous day - a tad cold but you can tell that spring is on its way.

Tidepools - lots of snails and seaweed. There were so many slipper seashells on the beach today. A few European Oyster shells, clams and rocks. No Moon Snail shells. Maybe the weather will allow us to go to Sandy Point Beach in Ipswich this weekend - that is where the good moon shells are!

A Stroll Through Salem Commons in the Snow

My favorite Ent Tree in the Salem Commons posing in the snow. This snow was perfect - sparkly, fluffy and magical! This was taken on Monday 2/18/19 around 5:30 pm. 

A few folks and their dogs romping in the snow. We were on our way over to the Hawthorne Hotel for an early supper. Love sitting in their tavern near the fireplace with the view of the Commons out the window. A lovely way to end the long holiday weekend.

Injured Ent of Salem Commons

If you hang out at the Salem Commons you may occasionally see me hugging this ancient Ent tree whenever i am walking by. This tree is HUGE! You cannot capture how magnificent it is in a photo. Sort of like the Grand Canyon photos that everyone tries to take! I am not sure how old this being is, at least 100 years? Who knows what he has seen. (I know trees do not have gender but i feel as if there is a more yang feel to him.) 

We had a wild wind storm over the weekend. Yesterday as i was walking towards the Salem Commons i noticed yellow crime scene tape blocking the entrance and around the tree. Of course everyone ducked under it and paid no heed to it. My dear friend lost a major branch. 

I gathered a few pieces of bark and broken branches so i could place on my earth altar in honor of him. Around 5:00 pm my husband and i returned to gather more branches so i could make wands and spirit dolls. This tree has powerful energy and i would love to have a wand with his magic. I do hope the city of Salem does not cut the entire tree down. I will have to be one of those crazy people who chain themselves to the tree to save it!

This was taken Halloween night 2018. I am sure this tree has several elementals tending to him!

Swan Lake....

Yesterday there were 5 swans gliding across the water at Collins Cove in Salem MA. A magical sight and omen! Way too difficult to photograph them with my phone. 

Swans represent magic especially winter magic. They are cold weather birds. And they mate for life. How romantic!

So many fairy tales have swans in them - no wonder since they are so ethereal and seem to come from another realm. I have seen a few swans over at Derby Wharf but never here at Collins Cove. So i take it as a good omen that these magical beings, perhaps angels appeared.

Ice Faeries at Collins Cove!

Brrrr! It was 12 degrees out this morning when my husband took our dog out. The beach at Collins Cove is frozen. Gorgeous ice sculptures created by the Ice Fae! 

A few seashells but it was way too cold to take off my gloves and hunt for them!

Quan Yin Kali Wu in her pretty in pink coat. She is hoping for a big snow storm soon. (So am i!)
