now debuting Aphrodite's Grotto,my latest line of art to wear created with seashells, pebbles, sand and driftwood found on my excursions to Winter Island, Salem MA, Plum Island Ipswich and Sandy Point Beach in Ipswich.
My muse has turned into a mermaid since we moved back to Salem MA. I cannot get enough Vitamin Sea these days.
Waikiki Beach Winter Island Salem MA
I have been finding gorgeous European Oysters seashells on Winter Island. They have hues of purple, pink and sea green and are a lovely shape. Apparently they were introduced to Cape Ann North Shore of MA years ago. I do not remember seeing them the last time we lived here. Love wire wrapping them with freshwater pearls and gemstones.
I think this line of jewelry would make unique mermaid wedding accessories, bridal shower gifts or bridesmaids gifts.

My favorite Ent Tree in the Salem Commons posing in the snow. This snow was perfect - sparkly, fluffy and magical! This was taken on Monday 2/18/19 around 5:30 pm.
A few folks and their dogs romping in the snow. We were on our way over to the Hawthorne Hotel for an early supper. Love sitting in their tavern near the fireplace with the view of the Commons out the window. A lovely way to end the long holiday weekend.
The Witch Museum looks pretty eerie covered in snow with its red lights!
Visit our online shoppe Whispers of the O'Fae. My talented husband did a photo shoot of my latest line of jewelry and baubles. This week i will be adding them on the shoppe. Unique baby shower, wedding shower and birthday gifts handcrafted with semiprecious stones, crystals, seashells and baubles.

If you hang out at the Salem Commons you may occasionally see me hugging this ancient Ent tree whenever i am walking by. This tree is HUGE! You cannot capture how magnificent it is in a photo. Sort of like the Grand Canyon photos that everyone tries to take! I am not sure how old this being is, at least 100 years? Who knows what he has seen. (I know trees do not have gender but i feel as if there is a more yang feel to him.)
We had a wild wind storm over the weekend. Yesterday as i was walking towards the Salem Commons i noticed yellow crime scene tape blocking the entrance and around the tree. Of course everyone ducked under it and paid no heed to it. My dear friend lost a major branch.
I gathered a few pieces of bark and broken branches so i could place on my earth altar in honor of him. Around 5:00 pm my husband and i returned to gather more branches so i could make wands and spirit dolls. This tree has powerful energy and i would love to have a wand with his magic. I do hope the city of Salem does not cut the entire tree down. I will have to be one of those crazy people who chain themselves to the tree to save it!
This was taken Halloween night 2018. I am sure this tree has several elementals tending to him!

Wishing Bubble Wand Necklaces

Each bubble wand is unique. A lovely organza ribbon cord is included or add your own chain.
I love bubbles and this idea came to me one day as i was blowing bubbles and twirling. My inner child likes to play and i allow her to do so. Otherwise she gets cranky and bitchy! I wanted to create something to wear that had several different gemstones with healing properties that was pretty yet whimsical. Viola... my muse came through.

Today our temps went up to 50! Wow. Warm enough to work out in the Practical Magic Salem art studio while Nubi juan Kenobi watched birds from the window. We put a bird feeder outside so the birds would be fed during winter and the cats could watch from the windows. A win-win for all.
Right now the sunporch windows are still decorated for winter with lots of pine cones, snowflakes and gnomes. Looking forward to the spring when i can do a faery garden theme.
Paper clay cabochons are finally dry and ready to paint. Maybe tomorrow. Hoping the weather is warm enough again to work out here.
